Design Consultant — Feasibility & Advisory

Feasibility work is advice, and advice is only valuable if it is honest. You will test what a parcel can carry against regulation, access, and cost, and say so plainly when the answer is less than the client hoped.

The best outcome of this role is often a client who does not buy the site.

Responsibilities

  • Run feasibility studies on prospective sites and briefs
  • Map regulatory envelopes and identify what actually constrains yield
  • Model options and present an evidence-led recommendation
  • Write advisory notes that a non-technical client can act on

Requirements

  • Degree in Architecture, Planning, or a related field
  • 6–10 years in architectural planning or development advisory
  • Strong grasp of development control regulations and their edge cases
  • The confidence to deliver an unwelcome recommendation well

Nice to Have

  • Development finance or cost intelligence exposure
